End of term, an a concert!

Sorry there have been no posts again but it was exam season and well I had no time at all, however, I now only have two days of school left!!! (YAY!!) and then only another two terms/semesters to go before I leave!!

Also, tomorrow there is a rewards trip to the O2 arena for the well behaved students so I get to go, it is slightlt ironic that it is called 'The Rock Assembly' yet I would not associate the performers like chipmunk with Rock music, I will be taking my camera anyways and will post pictures and videos if I can get any!

Stay tuned as I have a lot of projects coming up!

Narnia

Just finished watching Narnia:Voyage of a Dawn Trader, and it is a very good movie. I don't know what it is about Narnia films but I always end up getting tearful - well apart from the first movie.

Anyway, I am a very big Narnia fan, as they were my favourite books when I was younger, my favourite being Horse and his Boy. Although my favourite character is Lucy and I think Georgie Henley portrays her well.

Well that's all for now, working on the whole craft thing at the moment, so hopefully more soon.

Half Term...

OK...

So on Friday we broke up for a weeks holiday - the idea being for the students to relax, but if you ask me teachers are such hypocrites, on one hand they tell you to relax and have a nice half term whilst with the other hand they thrust a pile of homework/revision on you to do over the holidays as you will have more time...

I mean seriously, and we have about six exams when we get back, two math, one English language, one chemistry, ethics + philosophy and a German writing exam, as well as the first part of my history coursework due in!!!

And then to top it all off, my laptop decides to break down and the back light fails, so now I have to hook it up to a giant external monitor to use before taking it back to the shop to be sent away for repair (it's still under warranty, fortunately) but still, it would chose THIS week to pack up.

However, on the bright side it does mean I can stay up later at night (I am definitely someone who has more craft inspiration in the evening) and I will (hopefully) have time to finish a couple a projects (like my mini book and recipe folder...)

Until then,

I Love...

So I decided to try to do a post each week (when I remember/have time) about something I really like/love that I found during that week. It could be anything from a book, magazine, a song, film or a new craft product I bought!

This week...

I Love... the song I Can by Blue which they sung in the Eurovision contest for the UK. I really found it inspiring and it helped me keep going with all my revision as I have a tonne of exams coming up as I have two maths exams, two English exams, a chemistry exam, an ethics and philosophy exam, a German writing exam...

You get the idea, though when I have time I am working on something...

A moan...

Hey!,

Sorry if this post turns into a bit of a moan but this week has been VERY frustrating! Firstly it's the two week easter school holiday, which surely means a break from school to do something relaxing. But no, I have been doing for three weeks straight, through work experience and the holiday!

And on top of it all my only easy accessable craft shop is closing on May 2nd. Which is very frustrating as the nearest craft shop is now 15 minutes drive away and as I am only fifteen, I can't drive, the only other craft shop is a 30 minute train ride and a 15 minute bus journey away!!! Great!

Update...

Hey!
It seems like I haven't written on my blog for ages which is probably true, but I have had so many things going on.
I think it's time for an update!

Firstly, my camera decided to break, so unfortunately the only picture on this post will be this one:

I took this picture a few days ago off our balcony, the view is really pretty and as the weather has been amazing for the UK in April recently I really enjoy sitting on the table on the balcony and crafting!

I have also been on a VERY EXPENSIVE shopping trip today! Well, it might not be expensive for everyone, but I spent, like £50 which for me is A LOT of money, but hey the local craft store had a sale (thank goodness it was my newspaper round pay day today!!!)

I bought some gorgeous paper by g.c.d. sudios I think, it is really pretty with loads of blues and browns, I also have designed a new type of envelope mini, which I will be making up soon, so more pictures of that to follow!

Until next time (When I will hopefully have a new camera!)

Elsa @ Just a few designs competition entry

Hey,

Ok this is my submission for Elsa's competition to use her drawing of 'Abbie' in a project. So this is what I came up with:

It's a stationary box, where the from folds down to reveal a note book with a picture of 'Abbie' on front (Credit goes to http://www.justafewdesigns.blogspot.com/) It has three pockets at the back, one for 5x7 cards and two smaller ones for 3x3 notelets and tags.
The paper I used to make this is from the Laura Ashley collection, it's double sided and is so pretty!
The little flowers I made myself from paper, used chalks to add colour to them and attached a small pearl to the centre, the butterfly charm came with a kit I bought a while ago, I attached this with a chain that was attached to a ribbon threaded through an eyelet!
I used some small alphabet stamps to stamp the word 'notes' which I bent before I stuck it on. The brads I used to attach the book together were made by dovecraft I think, and are so cute.

So yeah, I think that is everything.

P.S. Thank you Elsa for the stamps you sent me from the giveaway on your U Stream class, they arrived a couple of days ago and I can't wait to use them!
